About the Organization

The Aerospace Experimental Association was founded in October 2019 by Diego Salvatierra and Jake Pearman with the goal of creating an organization focused on providing students a platform to research, develop, and test aerospace-related systems to gain experience in the steps of experiment execution.

The decision to join the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) was an easy one. AIAA is the world's largest aerospace technical society. With nearly 30,000 individual members from 85 countries and 95 corporate members, AIAA brings together industry, academia, and government to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. Becoming a student branch only amplifies the opportunities available for those interested.

Here, at the Aerospace Experimental Association, feel the fulfillment of taking what you are learning in the classroom and applying it to a real-world application like building a satellite with NASA, participating in Design-Build-Fly with AIAA, or starting a new project with other AXA team members. The skills you develop in this organization are wide-ranging, and by joining AXA you are taking a step forward in advancing yourself, your education, and your future.
